Rosie lives and works in the Scottish Highlands.

A graduate of St Martins School of Art, she worked as a free-lance illustrator and designer before becoming an art teacher, working in secondary schools in England and Scotland.

She is a figurative artist, who enjoys painting people, animals, flowers and 'things' in a fairly realistic kind of way.

The ideas for pictures come from a variety of sources; a sketch book, her own photographs, images and events seen and remembered, and from the real world as seen directly.

The paintings are usually worked in acrylic paint on board or paper, and often supplemented with oil pastel.
